You can get anything and everything you need at Safeway and Albertsons. Of course you want to make some really delicious goodies right? Hopefully you saw our Peanut Butter Coconut Balls we posted earlier. We got all the ingredients from Safeway and most of them are from the O Organics® line of products which is getting bigger and bigger.
The variety in the products is much more vast than I ever realize and much of it you can get through their amazing grocery delivery service at shop.safeway.com. The O Organics and Signature line of products are available in my area exclusively at Safeway and Albertsons.
Also, don’t forget to visit the butcher department. We met with Safeway’s Executive Chef, Jeff Anderson, while we were at Safeway’s Culinary Kitchen and Technical Center. Chef Jeff showed us how to spatchcock a turkey and how to break one down. Yes it looks like a lot of work, but all you have to do is ask your local Safeway butcher and they will do it for you and you can go home with a turkey ready to throw in the oven or on the grill.
In addition to finding top notch food products there are so many other items you can get from the many sections of the store. For example, have you ever considered the products in the floral department? The partnership with Debi Lilly, debi lilly designTM , has created some fancy and on-trend holiday decorations, from lettered candles to vases that can be used as a decoration afterwards.
I have this really fun boot vase that I used while I was visiting with Safeway and created a beautiful bouquet. You have the ability to also make your own floral arrangements or you can purchase an already created arrangement and call it your own. Safeway won’t mind.
Debi Lilly gave us some advice on ways to organize your flowers and it seems like pretty much anything goes. She did say it’s easier to fill a vase by using flowers that have big bunches. Then add small sprits of color with smaller flowers. Small roses are perfect for that. Greenery is also great to add because it’s usually more affordable and easy to place all around your flower arrangement.
There are plenty of gifts you could get and if it’s a last minute kind of thing just stock up on gift cards. Gift cards always work. And also, Safeway and Albertsons and the entire Albertsons Companies family of stores including Acme Markets, Jewel-Osco Vons, Pavilions, Tom Thumb, Shaw’s, Star Market, United Express, United and Carrs/Safeway all have some pretty amazing specialty items that you could combine and make your own themed baskets.
And remember, it can all be delivered right to your doorstep, from the palm of your hand using the Safeway Delivery App while combining coupons from the just 4 U savings tool which is available within the Safeway App. What’s on your shopping list this year?
